Welcome to Trips by Jen. By using our website (www.tripsbyjen.com) and engaging our travel planning services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Our Role as a Travel Agency

Trips by Jen (Jen Tavares) acts solely as an independent agent for suppliers such as The Walt Disney Company, Universal Destinations & Experiences, airlines, hotels, and cruise lines. We do not own or operate these entities.

  • We provide expert advice and booking services, but we are not responsible for the acts, errors, or negligence of third-party suppliers.

2. Pricing and Availability

  • All quotes provided are subject to change and availability until a deposit is paid and a confirmation number is issued by the supplier.

  • Price Increases: Suppliers (especially airlines and cruise lines) reserve the right to increase prices or taxes until final payment is received.

3. Payments and Deposits

  • Trips by Jen does not directly charge your credit card for vacation packages. Payments are processed directly through the supplier (e.g., Disney Destinations, LLC).

  • You authorize Jen Tavares to facilitate payments on your behalf using the credit card information you provide.

  • Late payments may result in automatic cancellation by the supplier. Trips by Jen is not responsible for cancellations due to missed payment deadlines.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

  • All cancellations and changes are subject to the specific policies of the supplier (Disney, Universal, etc.).

  • Many deposits are refundable up to a certain date, but some bookings may be non-refundable.

  • Trips by Jen does not charge a separate agency cancellation fee; however, we cannot override supplier penalties or fees.

5. Travel Insurance

  • Highly Recommended: We strongly advise all clients to purchase comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances such as trip interruptions, medical emergencies, or cancellations.

  • If you choose to decline travel insurance, you acknowledge that Trips by Jen is not liable for any financial loss resulting from your inability to travel.

6. Required Documentation

  • It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they possess valid identification, passports (valid for at least 6 months beyond travel dates), visas, and health documentation required for their destination.

  • For Disney cruises or international travel, failure to provide proper documentation will result in denied boarding.

7. Limitation of Liability

Trips by Jen (Jen Tavares) shall not be held liable for:

  • Any injury, loss, or damage to person or property during the trip.

  • Delays, cancellations, or itinerary changes caused by weather, strikes, government actions, or "Acts of God."

  • Changes to Disney park hours, ride closures, or the unavailability of specific characters/experiences.

8. Use of the Website

All content on www.tripsbyjen.com, including text, graphics, and logos, is the property of Trips by Jen and protected by copyright laws. You may not use our content for commercial purposes without written consent.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved within this jurisdiction.
